Our place
Rooted in Trevallyn, Launceston
Neighbourhood Cafe sits on Osborne Ave in Trevallyn, a leafy hillside suburb on Launceston’s western edge, just above the Tamar River. Locals know Trevallyn for quiet streets, proximity to Cataract Gorge, and that easy feeling of being close to the city without the CBD rush. We chose this neighbourhood because it already feels like a community — school runs, gorge walks, and regulars who treat morning coffee as part of the day’s rhythm.
We serve people who live nearby and those who detour from Riverside, Summerhill or the city centre. Minutes from Launceston’s western entrance, the cafe works as a first stop before work or a slow weekend brunch. We want the room to feel like an extension of the street: unhurried, familiar, and genuinely local.

What to expect when you visit
Daytime is cafe life: specialty coffee, breakfast and lunch from 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM, seven days a week — laptops at a corner table, friends catching up, takeaway for the school run. Evenings shift when woodfire pizza runs thursday to sunday from 04:00 PM – 08:00 PM: same room, warmer light, and the smell of the oven.
Neighbours from Trevallyn and Riverside, visitors exploring Launceston, and anyone who wants a reliable coffee or a shared pizza without fuss. Walk-ins are welcome; for busier pizza evenings or larger tables, booking ahead helps us look after you properly.
